Wren Commission Build
My latest blue wren has made its way to a new home. Just look at the figuring on the beautiful Walnut top. This build has been such a pleasure to work on. Unusually, it has a 24-inch scale. My customer opted for Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups, Gotoh hardware, Cherry neck, and Rosewood fingerboard. Keep your eyes peeled for some more custom build pics coming in the next month or two.
A Fantastic Weekend at the Woking Boutique Guitar Show
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of exhibiting at the Woking Boutique Guitar Show and what a brilliant event it was. From the moment I arrived, the organisers couldn’t have been more welcoming. Everything ran smoothly, and their genuine passion for the guitar community really set the tone for the day.A huge thank you also goes to everyone who came along. The attendees were exactly what makes shows like this special — curious, knowledgeable, and full of enthusiasm. I had some great conversations with players, collectors, and fellow builders alike. It was inspiring to see how much love there is out there for handcrafted instruments and the stories behind them.The atmosphere throughout the show was relaxed, friendly, and full of that shared buzz only guitar lovers can create. Counting Down to the London Guitar Show
I’m absolutely buzzing with excitement as the London Guitar Show draws closer. It’s always one of the highlights of my year, a weekend packed with inspiring conversations, incredible instruments, and a shared love of all things guitar. One of the things I look forward to most at these events is meeting people face-to-face and hearing their ideas for custom commission builds. There’s nothing quite like working with players to bring their dream guitar to life. Whether it’s a unique wood combination, a special neck profile, or an unconventional design twist, those conversations are where some of my favourite projects begin. I can’t wait to chat, share what I’ve been working on, and hear what’s inspiring other players at the moment. The energy at these shows is always infectious — and being surrounded by so many passionate musicians and builders is the perfect creative fuel. If you’re heading to the show, do come and say hello. I’d love to chat, hear your ideas, and maybe even start planning your next custom build.

I’m absolutely thrilled to unveil my latest creation, a gorgeous purple guitar that’s turning heads with its dazzling copper scratch plate and pick-up rings! Featuring the incredible Old Bones pick-ups, this beauty will make it's debut at the Guitar Show in Birmingham on the 1st of March. Check out this sneak peek of it progress on my workbench! I can't wait you all to see it!
I thrive on turning my customers' dream guitars into reality. Recently, I had the pleasure of crafting a bespoke SG type guitar for a client who had a clear vision of the style and colour he desired. I added some unique touches, including custom-made Mother of Pearl volume knobs and a wooden scratch plate, to make it truly special. I hope he enjoys playing this guitar for many years to come!

Isaac has kindly written a glowing review of his SL custom built flying V. This was such a fun build for a young talented guitarist.
"I went to Pudsey Guitar Conventtion looking for a flying V guitar. The choice was very limited and then I came across SL Guitars. He had a very good choice of guitars but not a flying V. After speaking to him I arranged for him to build me one. I got to choose the wood, number of pick ups, colour and anything else I wanted. He also sent photos of the guitar as it was being built and I now hasve the guitar I imagined. So if you can't see the guitar of your dreams, send Steve a message and he'll make your dream come true"
Come and try our guitars at the Merseyside Guitar Show, Aintree Racecourse on Sunday 1st December. These shows always have a lovely Buzz about them with live music and lots of stalls.
