The Kite Green Oiled
Every build begins with a vision, and the Green Kite was no exception. Inspired by the unique character of the wood in front of me, I crafted this model to highlight the natural beauty of its materials. The neck features a stunning amber stain to enhance the flamed maple , while the body is finished in a vibrant green stain with an oil finish, allowing the rich grain of the wood to take center stage. The scratch plate is meticulously handcrafted from a distinctive combination of woods, replacing plastic entirely.

I wanted this guitar to sound hot but at the same time be as versatile as possible. The IronGear Texas Locos do this with ease. They give an amazing blues sound but blend so well in to many other styles perfectly.

The fretboard is made from a beautiful piece of rosewood, paired with 22 durable frets that ensure smooth playability and long-lasting performance.

I built this Kite with a vibe of simple elegance in mind. Staying true to SL Guitars' sustainability goals, the scratch plate is a stand out feature made from natural wood stained to match the look of the instrument perfectly. It has a clean, straightforward style, with the Bare Knuckle pickups that deliver a sensitive, clear, and crisp sound, perfect for players seeking expressive sound quality. The lightweight Swamp Ash body, is ideal for stage players who need to stay comfortable during long sets, and the Jasper fret markers add a distinctive personal touch with their warm colors complementing the hand made scratch plate.

The neck of this guitar is made from Maple with an ebony fretboard for a smooth and comfortable playing experience. It features 21 extremely hardwearing stainless steel frets.
